MUSIC FUN FOR YOUR DOG AND YOU***
For First Time Ever! This CD was developed With the help of a Focus Group of 214 Rescue And Companion Dogs.

(Los Angeles, Calif.) - The Laurel Canyon Animal Company, formed to create and promote Music for animals and the people who love them, is releasing their newest music CD, "Songs To Make Dogs Happy," created by dogs and for dogs.

"Songs To Make Dogs Happy" is the first in the "ASK THE ANIMALS" series of CDs, DVDs and Videos that Skip's Animal Company is developing.

The new CD is a collaboration with Intuitive Animal Communicator, Dr. Kim Ogden-Avrutik.

All lyrics in "Songs To Make Dogs Happy" were reviewed and edited by Dr. Kim for content and feasibility of mental and emotional comfort to the dogs. Musical tracks were added to the song's lyrics and then recorded.

Dr. Kim played the songs for canine focus groups. The dog's fascinating "comments" about the songs were documented in detail and each song's lyrics and music were adjusted accordingly.

The Laurel Canyon Animal Company's other recent CD releases include the popular "I'm A Green Chicken", sung by Carla the famous Amazon parrot and "Fine Animal Gorilla" created in collaboration with Koko and the Gorilla Foundation (Koko is the only lowland gorilla in the world who has learned to communicate with human beings (and musicians) through the use of a variant of American Sign Language [ASL]).

The Laurel Canyon Animal Company is dedicated to creating original musical works inspired by the relationships between animals and people-and to raising the awareness of people as to the sentience of all animals.

Each CD produced by The Laurel Canyon Animal Company is devoted to a particular kind of animal or species.

Each track is devoted to a particular concern, situation or shared experience of the people who love those animals or the animals themselves.

THeir list of currant releases include: "Ugly Dogs Need More Love", "Cat-A-Tonic", "I'm A Green Chicken" and "Fine ANimal Gorilla"

We are now planning our next CD, "Music Of The Pink Dolphins" which involves an expedition to the headwaters of the Amazon rain forest in Peru to create music with the endangered Pink River Dolphins that live there.

The Laurel Canyon Animal Company is active in supporting animal rights causes and interspecies communication. It returns substantial portions of its profits from each CD to selected animal rehabilitation, rescue and educational organizations.
