The members of Saccharine spent their "formative" years listening to what was affectionately termed "album oriented rock".

From Zeppelin and Cheap Trick to U2 and The Cure, these were the albums that were great from start to finish and which represented a veritable soundtrack to the youth culture of the time.

Rock radio supported bands, not songs.

This is where Saccharine believes rock music should exist and this is where they hope to take it.

Saccharine, the album, reflects the members attitude toward rock music and its amazing strength as a medium of communication.

From the hopeful optimism of "Perfect Day" to the melancholy loss of a friend documented in "Curfew", the album allows the listener to share in thoughts and emotions which are common to us all.

The thoughtful use of hooky guitar lines and addictive vocal melodies bring the listener in instantly and dont soon leave the memory.

Saccharine is all about using the many diverse sounds of rock in such a way as to best convey the feeling of a song.

Saccharine has no desire to be pigeon-holed into one sound.

"Saccharine sounds a little like alot of things but not alot like any one thing" said one listener.

And yet the band has its own unique and compelling sound that can be heard on their impressive debut CD.
