::: The Story of the Shameless :::

"Hey, let's make an album then!", said my nutty friend Sven at my campus room door one random afternoon. That marked the time this album began its production.

Shameless is an album produced while I was completing my studies in sound engineering in Byron Bay, Australia. The album took a year in-the-making in Studios 301 with heartfelt contribution of many talented musician friends of mine coming from random places around the world. It has been great pleasure working with each one of them as they have helped shape the album as we went along finishing the tracks.

This album was produced together with Ruben Debusschere, an amazing electronic music producer and drummer who lent his magic on tracks like 'Too Sexy', 'You Will Be Surprised' and 'Midst of Morning Sun'. Hailing from Hasselt, Belgium, he is also composing his music under the name Laryn. This album features freestyle rapper from Kenya Tomimoto on 'You Will Be Surprised', DJ and electronic music producer Bertrand Philibert on 'My Love', and of course, Malaysia's own One Buck Short frontman Mooky on 'Chumelnya Si Dia'.

If you were one of the few who has my first CD My Make-Believe EP, this album is of a totally different light because of its look on the brighter side of life. Perhaps due to the better of my love life, Shameless offers lots of colour and cheekiness. In addition, its hard to get bored of the CD because every song is different from the other due to my fickle-minded nature.

The first single 'Too Sexy' has been on the Hitz.fm Malaysian Top 10 and mp3.com.au's Pop Charts at Top 10. And second single 'Room for 2' is currently making waves at Xfresh FM and will be out with a music video soon. Take your time to listen to the samples and let me know when you want the CD! =]



::: WHO IS SAER ZE? :::

She projects energy through colour. She'll take you on a journey through her little wonderland. She sings and she dances.

She's electro-pop.

At 23, Saer Ze has come pretty far all on her own. Recently gaining some recognition from her debut project 'SHAMELESS'; A project made possible with contributions from friends whilst in an Australian hippie town called Byron Bay which has led to an AIM (Anugerah Industri Muzik) nomination for Best New Local English Artiste of 2006.

"Byron is my wonderland, it's beautiful", she says. The various cultures and backgrounds of everybody involved in the album needs to be blamed for the result of a beautifully diversed sound all in one album. Much like going around the world in an hour!

She was still looking for her niche with SHAMELESS, which holds 10 tracks of electronic, pop rock, retro and even world music. Malaysian Idol judge, Paul Moss, took a listen and called her 'schitzo'. She loves writing all sorts of music, but people get confused. She will have to choose.

7 years in the show business has definitely taught her a few things. Starting out with an RnB and Hiphop outfit, followed by rock bands and open mics - she has finally found a musical direction. After meeting Belgian boyfriend-producer Ruben Debusschere, she's fallen in love with the wonders of electronic music and dancing on the stage at clubs.

2006 spells a whole new journey as she plans to take her career with her a step further.

Think Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, Goldfrapp, Pink and Gwen Stefani all forced to be squeezed into a mix - and you'll have your lil Miss Saer Ze.
