Album Notes

This is a real time recording, similar to a live performance, except it's done in a studio. Safwan Matni is singing arabic songs, while accompanying himself on keyboard.

What's special in this album, is that it captures a unique interaction between singing and playing, since it was done by one person, who is controlling both playing the music (including singing), and steering the rhythme, this allows for improvising, and performing each song like never was done before.

Safwan's long history in music, both Arabic and western (classical, and contemporary) would combine then reflect in this album to create a true instant creation.

Last, but not least, this is a straight recording, with no edits, what you hear is Safwan Matni's great voice, singing along a Yamaha PSR-OR700 keyboard.
