Album Notes

Nightmare is the new release from California Goth/Rockers Saints Of Ruin. This is their first full length album. It features their widely applauded cover of the Concrete Blonde song "Bloodletting'. This track alone makes this CD a must have. But that's not all. The opening song "Ashes" is a powerful Goth-Pop single if ever I have heard one. Beautiful melodies and sensual harmonies. This song will stay with you for all time.
Nightmare contains songs of Life and Death: "Dark Night" and "The Darkening", Anti hunting: "A Murder Of Crows", serial Killer murder: "Dying Time", which is told through the eyes of the serial killer, and Love: "Be My King". The anti war song "End Of Days" gives the listener chills up their spine. And the anti lullaby "Nightmare" is another reason not to fall asleep. Perhaps one of the most powerful songs and themes is " Never Go Away". This is an anti suicide song as told by both the person comitting suicide and the friend asking them not to. And let's not forget the fun pub sing a long "Halloween Song". This is a story of being a Goth kid in New York City. And all the fun and adventure that goes with it.
Nightmare really defines the diverse sound that Saints Of Ruin has developed since they formed. Powerful female vocals, mysterious melodies, Monster Metal guitars and electronic undercurrents make this band and this album the #1 unsigned Goth band on MySpace Top Artists.
