Album Notes

Saints and Strangers, the inventive rock band based in Indianapolis, IN, is releasing their debut album titled Diamonds for Rust.

A Short History: Saints and Strangers formed in 2004 when Indianapolis music veterans, Andy Taylor and Steve Pruden reunited after 4 years from separate musical journeys in Nashville, TN and California. The band decided to fill gaps in the independent Midwestern music scene by focusing on a refreshing mix of rock, Nashville alt-country, Chicago blues, California pop, and booty-shaking funk.

Andy Taylor – Vocals, Lead Guitar – Andy has always been a musician who moves effortlessly through rock, blues, country and jazz with improvisational skill and melodic purpose. His songwriting skills and technical proficiency have led him to Arizona (earning a degree from the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences) then to Nashville, TN where he recorded and performed alongside some of Nashville’ s finest studio musicians.

Steve Pruden – Vocals, Bass – Steve brings a diverse musical background to the music of Saints and Strangers. Growing up in Mississippi, Steve learned the delta blues music indigenous to the area. Steve’s focus on strong grooves, and melodic importance made him one of the most sought-after bass players in Northern California. He found regular work playing throughout California with such regional powerhouses as Karmic Book Heroes and Hive Collective.

Bill Taylor – Vocals, Harmonica, Guitar – Bill has been a fixture in the Midwestern music scene for over two decades. His solid guitar foundation is eclipsed only by his virtuosity on the harmonica. Bill has toured the world, playing shows all over North America, Europe, and even spending several weeks touring Russia (while it was under Communist control!).

Dan Walker – Drums – Dan’s ability to create solid grooves in a variety of styles makes him the perfect fit for Saints and Strangers. An Indiana University alumnus, he studied under some of the most desired in the business. His playing compliments the vast musical landscape of Saints and Strangers
