Album Notes

Sakti is the performing name of composer Cameron Witten, a native of Washington, DC who currently lives and works in Pittsburgh, PA. Ens is his fourth album. Cameron says:

”This album (ens) was composed mainly in Barcelona, Spain. 'Moore's Timebomb' is meant to reflect the explosive nature of Moore's law. 'Engineered negligible senescence' is just another term for immortality. 'The smoother pebbles' is from a quote by from Isaac Newton:

"I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble ... whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me."

The last song is a tribute to Aphex Twin.

”My primary musical influences are Aphex Twin, Autechre and Squarepusher.”
