Sali Oguri is a singer-keyboardist-composer-arranger who uses various elements of the New York music scene and blends them into Electronic Pop. Sali's been featured in The New York Times and New York Newsday as an interesting local presence. Early recordings include "Reach Out From the Darkness" (Select) on EP with Loleatta Halloway. She hosted and sang on the hit TV show "New Yorkers" with 11 million fans (Japan), went on tour to Japan, sang before 10,000 at a concert alongside Herbie Hancock and Keith Jarrett. Sali has performed with: Tito Puente, Robin S. Sali had her own weekly radio show on J-Wave FM, "Switch On New York" sponsored by NTT Communications for 8 million in Tokyo, and simultaneously broadcast on Internet TV where Sali was seen presenting from a Midtown Manhattan studio. Her recent recordings include 10 Dance tracks on "Sweet Dreams, Yuming" (FOA). Sali's solo debut 6-song original Petit-CD (EP) "Pink Manhattan" launched with Pink Manhattan PURRFUME, exclusively sold at cult boutiques in Los Angeles, NYC, Seattle and online.

Wow!

My only complaint is that it's too short! It's left me wanting more. Given the massive hype (Perfume? What does that have to do with being able to perform?) but little about the album, I had my concerns but the music samples convinced me to get it. Am I glad I did! Give it a listen and become hooked as well.
