Album Notes

In 2005 a lifechanging thing happen to Sallam. He was suspended from his private school for a semester. During that time he went to public school in Cambridge Massachusetts. His time in public school was a blessing in disguise. He was able to network and spend more time on his music. During the suspension Sallam met Harold Dupee, the C.E.O. of Bottom Up Productions, or B.U.P. Through Harold, Sallam was able have access to an armada of local mcs which led to the Harold and Sallam's collaboration on "The Line Up". Sallam's first album. Despite the fact that the mixtape was released on a local level. It sold 260 units without any promotion or consignment. More than sales the album helped to legitimize Sallam's hobby which was slowly becoming more serious. In the fall, when sallam returned to school he spent his free time making beats. His beats changed almost overnight. They became melodically and rhythmically more complicated and people began to comment on the improvement, since most of them hadn't seen him during the suspension. In the spring of 2006 following the advice of Jesse Christoper ( an employee at Massive Records (a Local record store)) he started a myspace account and began a four month beat making binge that ended with 100 new beats. While making these beats and networking on myspace Sallam had correspondence with Proof of D12 (R.I.P. 1976-2006) who was killed. This was the first correspondence with a serious artist sallam had had and it made him more determined to pursue beatmaking. . The new album is being engineered by local legend Dj Drama (Big Shug of Gangstarr's DJ) who recently release his own effort "The Devil's Rejects". The artists on the album are Rhode Island native Zero G, Boston local Jore, and the local cambridge group The Heavyweightz. Future projects might include Brooklyn's Own Chi-King RISE OF THE EMCEE Album, and C-Rayz Walz album produced by Sallam Said called FEEL ME,

Tracks are mad hot, this cd really shows how Sallam's matured as an overall muscical artist. The lyrics in every song were hot, though I wish some of the songs' beats would have been a little more complex, for example, more switching up of the beat in the middle of the track.
