Album Notes

Sally is a 52 year old wife and mother of 3 adult children. She has been doing music ministry in Catholic churches throughout St. Louis, Missouri since she was 14 years old. Sally is a guitarist blessed with a vocal quality that is soothing and easy to listen to.

In recent years, Sally has developed her music perspective with song writing. Eight of the twelve tracks on her debut CD “Humble Beginnings” are original pieces inspired by her daily interaction with Jesus in her life leading through the peaks and valleys that make up the fabric of life.

Throughout the years of her music ministry Sally did basic music ministry in her local parish, but in 1999 when Pope John Paul II came to St. Louis she was initiated to the Christian/Catholic Contemporary genre. The evolution of her music involvement in and outside of her home parish has grown with a passion of not only the music but of the depth it has helped her grow in her relationship with Jesus in this newfound avenue of music. She has had the blessings of ministering with some very talented musicians in the St. Louis area such as Matthew Baute, Karl Zimmermann, Joel Stein and Jackie Malt a few among many.

As the title implies, “Humble Beginnings” is a sincere reflection of Sally’s place in her spirituality at this time of her journey. It is her hope that all who could benefit by any of the songs on this project will be called to make it a part of their music collection.
