Album Notes

Salty Roots is a funk/rock band that blends a number of musical styles and influences into a sound all their own. The band loves to play a wide variety of music and has been known to play eclectic sets, with both original and cover songs that range from hard-edged funk and rock to bluegrass and alt-country. They are truly one of the most creative and exciting bands on the market today, delivering powerful live performances wherever they go.
Salty Roots is made up of four musicians who have been performing together since the winter of 2000. Recording their first demo in the spring of 2000, this self-managed and independent band has hit the ground running, playing numerous shows and building a solid fan base as they go. In the past few years they have recorded two albums, "The Nature of the Groove" and their latest release "Love in Motion". Both albums deliver the blend of funk, rock, alt-country, and soul music, for which the group has come to be known. The band continues to strike a chord with people, gaining fans and critical acclaim as they pursue their love of music.

Love it!
author: Sarah
Love in motion is easily one of my favorite albums, these guys are so creative, a mix of R&B and rock into catchy, melody driven songs which cross all genres. The lyrics deal mostly with relationships and love with simple, straight-forward lines and messages anyone can understand. This is just great music!
