ABOUT THIS ALBUM


Album Notes
On 31st January 2012 Sam Brittain along with producer Jamie Blechynden arrived at the Barossa Valleys inconic Chateau Tanunda to begin recording the spine of what would become Sams debut solo album "Our Shining Skin"

The album consists of 12 songs recorded live in the 'Long Room" over the two days featuring BJ Barker on drums (Kasey Chambers/The Yearlings) , Steve Fleming on bass/fiddle (Very Jane) , Briohny Taylor on cello (Aurora Strings) , Jamie Blechynden on Dobro/Mandolin/Banjo (Very Jane/Phea) , Mark Elberg on mandolin (Huckleberry Swedes) , Maggie Rutjens and Victoria Blechynden providing backing vocals.

It is an honest collection of folk songs arranged and produced with the goal of enhancing the live swelling feel of Sam's music.
