This is my new CD. Hope you enjoy the sounds. It's very much in the spirit of my previous recording "The Big Box of Love", and could be considered a sequel in that some of the material here is stuff I didn't have room for last time out.

Boinnng is designed to be enjoyed on its own, but there are some continuations from my previous effort. "The Big Box of Love" opened with a cut called 'Jizz Wizz', and on this CD 'Jizz Wizz part 2' picks up where the original left off. Also, the guitar coloration for which this CD is named(basically, an ascending glissando over several barred strings- produces a "boing" effect-'boingy guitar', if you will), started on "The Big Box of Love".

This new CD goes in a number of directions as to the 'kind' of music and approach. You'll hear modern classical music and what you might call 'jazz fusion'plus a few stylistic mutts in there, but all with the intent of communicating, of saying something to you the listener.

All of the music here was written and performed by myself, with this exception. The 3 Persichetti Variations(that is, the basic theme) are from a March by American composer Vincent Persichetti(1915-87).He wrote works for all media, taught at Juilliard(he had been the teacher of one of my teachers at Peabody)and wrote a kickass book called 20th Century Harmony: Creative Aspects and Practice. Never met the man, hope he'd approve of this.

I hope you enjoy the music in here.
