It's not often I get this worked-up about a recording. I just think it's one of the best all-around recordings I've heard in a long time. Maybe it's the confluence of its own inherent content & production values--which I feel are exemplary--with current world music trends. The songs, musically and lyrically, the vocal performances, the rich & tasteful arrangements, the instrumental & vocal accompaniments---are all exotic, accessible, and richly compelling.
