Sam Moore Artist Biography
Sam Moore grew up at the tail end of a large Jamaican church-attending family in Manchester, England, and was “born in church” with Sunday School and the choir as his hanging suites. And he remains forever grateful for the laid foundation, vocal training and so much more that this strict Church upbringing taught him.
Sam has had a number of key UK-wide appearances to date and even further afield where in February 2004, Sam’s US debut came in the form of wowing a collective audience of over 10,000 people in Los Angeles, California when he sang at The West Angeles Cathedral and also at Bishop Noel Jones’, City of Refuge Church to wide and popular acclaim. More recently in November 2006, Sam again wowed a US audience in an impromptu performance at the ‘World Famous Gospel Brunch’ at The House of Blues, Sunset Strip, Los Angeles which was described as “amazing” by the Gospel Brunch’s National Director, Sylvia St. James.
Sam Moore’s album, Splendid Isolation is an amazing debut project. The album rides an enticing wave of Neo-Soul, Jazz and Worship Ballad influences the project has production input from Philadelphia outfit “The 99s” who add that distinct Philly Soul vibe (Floetry/Liz Fields) and sought-after UK production team Spiritled (Four Kornerz/Siani) bringing a more edgy street sound. The album boasts an array of hot tracks like “Breathe”, “Like You” and the popular radio track “Highway”, where he effortlessly bridges the two worlds of contemporary music sounds and traditional Church styles. He has achieved wide a popular acclaim from the UK Gospel industry, including rave reviews by Yinka - UKGospel.com, Tony Cummins – Cross Rhythms Magazine and DJ El Nino – UB1 Music.
Sam hails from Bethel United Church of Jesus Christ (Apostolic) in Birmingham, where Bishop Sydney Alexander Dunn presides. He acknowledges his faith as a most worthwhile struggle, as he is able to testify on a personal level of what God has done for him. Setting all clichés aside, Sam knows that in serving God, he has made the right decision based on the desire of what he wants and needs to achieve through Christ Jesus. And this comes across in his music as you can hear the satisfaction of a life lived through God, so much so that his vocal resounds the workmanship of Heaven. Sam Moore - an artist that represents passion and wide appeal through his personal music experiences.
Album Review:

Wow! All I can say is that this is a cd you can listen to every day and never get tired of. The guest artists are great additions. I really love the jazz trumpeter, AnDre Hutchins, on track #3. He and Mr. Moore sound remarkable together. Every song is beautiful. This cd is a breath of fresh air!
