Album Notes

The voice and his piano...Influenced by a wide range of musical genres including Jazz, Rock and Gospel, Sam engages his audiences with memorable melodies and expressive lyrics all his own. His music not only reflects his nature, but reveals his most vulnerable and sincere emotions. Writing music is Sam\'s form of expression, and he writes with the intent that anyone who hears it will be able to relate in some way or another. With a powerful voice, he accompanies himself with moving music that brings a unique balance to each of his songs.

Receiving his B.M. in performance from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Sam relocated to Nashville TN. where he began doing session dates and working with the legendary songwriter Otis Blackwell (Don’t be cruel, All shook up ...) Sam is also a member of BMI, GMA and the Songwriters Guild.

“I’ve been searching for a way to tell my own story, both as a singer/songwriter and as a piano player,” Sam says from his home in Pittsburgh. “I’ve found a calling in contemporary Christian music that completes that search which I\'ve never felt with any other genre, everything just falls into place and the songs actually write themselves.”
