A Magic Night
author: Phil Gatz
This was done LIVE at the 6th annual Riverhead Blues Festival in Riverhead NY & it was dedicated to the memory of Ms.Vicki Staciwo(the promotor that yr 2004)who died suddenly, in her office that previous April. It was a magic night to be sure. Electricity was in the air as Sam & Co. took the stage. My only concern was that Sam mentioned on the cd he was "black-balled" from the event the previous year ...thats a bit of a dramatiztion, but good for effect. Truth is Sam & previous promotor could not reach a finanical arrangement, plan & simple. But that doesn't take away from the cd one bit. It's probably going to remembered as Sam Taylor at his very best & that band with the amazingly young talent of Danny Kean makes this cd a must for Sam Taylor fans.

bluzman at his best...LIVE
author: alan hurley
To see and hear the great Sam Taylor is truely a moving and wonderful experience. To have a taste of that on a cd to be enjoyed at home or while driving is a real treat. Bluzman Back Home is for sure Sam Taylor at his finest; at the Riverhead blues festival with an incredible band, including Big Al on tenor an the great Danny Kean on keyboards. A must have disc for any casual blues fan.

This is a great CD full of energy and great playing. The sound is fantastic and flows really well. I also recommend Tom Saputo's "Blue City" CD. Thanks Sam Taylor!
