Symphony of Light is inspired by ochestral music and fantasy like the Elfin Empire of Lord of the Rings. There is a luminescence to the music that floats between heaven and earth. Light is everywhere and it brings out the colors of the world. From Firstlight, to Torchlight, to Twilight, to Moonlight and Starlight Sam attempts to interpret the effect of light on our being. This album offers longer forms, more in the mode of symphonic tone poems, but it is truly in the Sam Utah style. The melodies will attract you and the music, like a warm bath, will relax your being. The music comes in waves, Sam says, and many people say it enhances moods and relaxes them. This music often serves as background music for quiet times and reflection and if you pay attention, you will notice the sense of melody and orchestration Sam has brought forth from wherever he finds his inspiration.
