American born guitarist Scott Sanchez has been recognized by audience members, concert presenters and reviewers for his artistry and solid musicianship. In January 2007, the British guitar magazine CLASSICAL GUITAR reviewed Sanchez’s recent cd entitled Lattice Work, stating, “The disc is superbly recorded and the playing throughout is exemplary, with Sanchez taking great care with details such as tone and phrasing, and he has a charming way of fashioning the melodic lines from his guitar. A most enjoyable new recording.” Some of the highlights of Mr. Sanchez’s past concert seasons have included recitals and masterclasses for London’s St. Bride’s Church; Dorset, England’s Bournemouth University; Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center; Boston’s King’s Chapel and the Ventura Classical Guitar Society (California).
Mr. Sanchez currently has three CD’s to his credit on the INTRASPECT label. His recordings have often been featured on various Public Radio stations in the U.S.A.
Scott Sanchez earned his Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Denver as a student of the Cuban classical guitarist, Ricardo Iznaola. He graduated with a Master of Music degree from Yale University where he was a student of the American classical guitarist, Benjamin Verdery. As a student, he also performed in masterclasses for renowned guitarists including Eliot Fisk, David Russell and Scott Tennant.

Great!
author: Brad Anderson
Actually I'd like to give it about 4.85 stars. I've been collecting classical guitar CDs now for about five years and
this one is as good as it gets. Being an American I particularly enjoyed AMERICA! Hope Mr. Sanchez keeps up the good work.
