Album Notes

It's official!! -- The San Diego Cajun Playboys are one of the best Cajun bands outside of Louisiana!

The San Diego Cajun Playboys won the Cajun French Music Association's prestigious Le Cajun Award in the 2006 Prix Dehors de Nous category for the best Cajun band outside of Louisiana . . . (that covers the entire world except for Louisiana and parts of East Texas, you know) on August 18, 2006, in Lafayette, Louisiana, on stage at the Heymann Performing Arts Center.

Not bad for your hometown San Diego Cajun band, huh?

Believe it or not, the San Diego Cajun Playboys have been playing Cajun music at dances and festivals in Southern California since 1997 - and doing it the way it should be - all Cajun, all the time!

Our album is dedicated to all of our families, fans, dancing friends, and to everyone who has appreciated our efforts to bring a little bit of South Louisiana to the West Coast. And we're going to keep playing Cajun French music out here as long as there are people around who still want to keep on dancin' . . . but we won't quit our day jobs anytime soon.

So remember . . . if you want real Cajun music, it had better be in Cajun French. Accept no less!
