Maria Sangiolo has been enchanting folk audiences with her warm stage presence and mellifluous vocals for the past twelve years. Fans have, for a long time, asked when she was going to record a lullaby CD. With the birth of her daughter in 1998, Sangiolo penned several children's songs and lullabies and put together Hello Moon, a recording for the whole family.
Her previous recordings, Eyes of the Heart (1993), Follow Your Own Road (Signature Sounds 1996), and Blue Earth (Signature Sounds 1998)garnered national praise and heavy rotations on college and public radio stations nationwide.

Touring mostly in New England these days, Sangiolo is a coffeehouse favorite and can be seen with accompanist Jim Henry on many a night. Her latest children's recording, Fairy Moon - Songs of the Ring, won a Parents' Choice Award in November 2004 and is also for sale on cdbaby.com.

beautiful sounds, gorgeous lyrics

This CD is a real pleasure to listen to (and not only for our 21 month-old son). The music is intelligently cheerful for those more active moments of the day, and beautifully heart-warming for the more calm times or before going to bed. Maria Sangiolo pours her soul into composing the songs, and the pay-off is more love in the families listening to her music.

Great CD -- A Lifesaver for anyone with a baby!

Hello, Moon is our "Magic CD". We play the first 7 songs in the morning to help our 9-month old wake up, and play the final 8 songs when we put her to sleep. We've done this for 7 months now, from when she started sleeping through the night at 2 months! Even if she cries when we put her in the crib, as soon as we put on the "magic cd" she rolls over and goes to sleep. And the best part is, mom & dad like it too! A great cd, Maria's voice is so clear and powerful. We buy these in bulk to give friends who have new babies!
