About the CD, "Love is Waiting"
This is the perfect CD to get you in the mood for Christmas with many traditional favorites including, "White Christmas", "O Holy Night", and "Santa Baby". It's a great combination of Christian and secular tunes. The soft blend of guitar and violin are featured in "What Child is This?". Electric and Bass guitar and drums liven up the mix in "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" and "Winter Wonderland". The title of the CD, "Love is Waiting", comes from the one original CD which was written by vocalist, Sarah Beisser, and guitarist, Ryan Sheeler.

Purchasing this CD is a great way to support and enjoy the production of local music. The group premiered their CD at a small performance at Borders Book Shop last Christmas, and as the vocalist is currently doing biology research in the Nilgiri Hills in India until late December, will be unable to perform this Christmas. However, the vocalist and members of the band will play together at the Christmas Eve service at the First Evangelical Free Church in Ames, Iowa as they have for the last six years. Come to worship and hear their original, "Love is Waiting" newly arranged in three part harmony!

So what does "Love is Waiting" mean? Christmas is a day of great joy for Christians, who believe it to be the day of the birth of their savior. The whole purpose of Christ's birth was so that God could show love to the world (an idea that is sometimes hard to comprehend, but quite incredible for those who believe it). This love, however, cannot be given unless it is received on the other end. That is why God's amazing "Love is Waiting" for those who chose to accept it.

About the Band
The musicians in this group live in different states for much of the year, so do not rehearse regularly or even have a band name. However, they enjoyed a summer of rehearsing and recording for this CD and, as mentioned previously, some members of the group have worshiped together regularly on Christmas Eve for a number of years.

The vocalist/violinist (Sarah Beisser)- I am a senior at St.Olaf College in Northfield, MN. I sing in the choir and play electric violin with a contemporary worship band called "Selah". I have taken classical violin lessons for 11 years but find my true enjoyment of music through worship. That is the extent of my musical endeavors in college. I am a biology major and currently doing some ornithological research (bird-watching) in South India for the semester. I plan on eventually going to Physical Therapy school, but first we'll see what God wants to do with this CD!
