An intellectual, a sensualist, a trained jazz musician, Sarah's music is sophisticated, but emotionally raw. Daughter of one of Maryland's most seasoned roots-rock drummer Tom Fridrich, of The Remnants, Sarah's life has had a "soundtrack" since conception.
From vocal music in folk mass celebrations at her mom's church, R&B sounds of dad's early employer Jr. Cline, and Dixieland Jazz Band records that grandpa (who grew up in New Orleans) danced to, around the living room with her, Sarah's childhood was rich with musical experiences.
Musicians:
Sarah Fridrich - voice, guitar, keys/synth
John Palmer - bass guitar and double bass
Tom Fridrich - drums
Dave Cipriani - electric guitar
Rob Hinkal - ebow on "So"

The EP is reminiscent of Rickie Lee Jones, with a very modern feel. It's like being connected to a small part of a huge world. The album has a great deal of soul.

Soul in a EP

An amazing album full of soulful songs. Yet doesn't compare to the intimacy of hearing Sarah live with only her guitar and her voice in the acoustically-rich Bears Den Hostel. She rocks live.

Straight to the heart

Sarah's music brimmers with what are obviously very personal and emotional experiences, which lends a very intimate air to her songwriting. She's definitely a songwriter to watch - I look forward to a full-length album!
