Sarah Wallin Huff - professional violinist, composer, author, and educator - has been performing since 1989 and formally composing since approximately 1993, gleefully experimenting with tone colors, rhythms, and melody. Her passion for chamber music is evidenced in her careful interweaving of detail throughout the lines of each instrument in her compositions. Her love of all styles and eras of music comes through via her clever incorporations of all from folk and New Age-electronica, to Stravinsky- and Ives-esque writing.
This debut compositional album comprises a host of Wallin Huff's smaller and more intimate compositions: including, early works for string quartet, electronic works for live MIDI band and electric violin, individual movements from her larger works, and a live recording from the debut performance of "Adoré" for string orchestra, performed at Zipper Hall in Los Angeles.
