Album Notes

Singer/songwriter, Theresa Sareo, was raised in Elmira, NY, and calls New York City her home. Fittingly, her three octave vocal range and colorful songwriting images reflect both the intensity of the big city and the down-to-earth simplicity of the small town.
Following a period of indie/dance music success, she is back to her roots performing original pop/rock/country music in New York City venues including the Bitter End, CB's 313 Gallery, the Hard Rock Cafe and the Hammerstien Ballroom. She has written and performed music for renowned artist Mark Kostabi, author Betty Eadie and Dr. M. Scott Peck. She's enjoyed successful debuts throughout the U.S., Europe and South America.
She recently collaborated with the legendary Blood, Sweat and Tears, both in the studio and on stage. She sang back-up on David Clayton Thomas' 911 tribute "The Lights of Broadway" and joined the band in concert at Westbury Music Fair last summer.
Theresa co-produced the CD, "Soap Sessions, Vol. ", featuring songs by five popular daytime soap actors. She produced Kelly Ripa's singing debut and is included as a songwriter and background vocalist. For more details check: www.swirlingrecords.com.
She organized and headlined a benefit concert in NYC which raised thousands of dollars for her local fire department after the 911 tragedies. Theresa released two original CDs on her own independent label, Rocking Chair Records. "Theresa Sareo", and "Embrace" have won songwriting awards with Billboard magazine and Kweevak.com. Both CDs are available on CDBaby.com and Theresa's website.
Her third original CD, "Alive Again", features musical giants including Steely Dan guitarist, Jon Herington, Saturday Night Live drummer, Shawn Pelton, renowned guitarist, Nick Moroch and Sony Music's gospel/bluegrass sensation, Ollabelle.
