Album Notes

The band SARK was created in September 2001 by Werner Sark, Roland Kohler joined the project in November 2001. During this early days, Werner Sark composed about 12 songs. The goal was to record so early as possible, to have something to show for the next steps, which are, festivals, concerts, radios, label or disc companies researches. Werner's idea was to find a bass and a guitar player, unfortunately, nobody was ready to step in the project. Werner decided to make all the stuff by himself.

In December, SARK (Werner Sark & Roland Kohler) trained the songs to be ready for recording in January.
In January 2002 SARK recorded five songs, more songs are available, but the recording studio budget was limited (paid by Werner Sark). In the first part of January, Stéphane Ghizzo joined the band as guitar player. But until SARK finds a bass player, he did the job. The maxi CD "FEELINGS" came out the 12 of January 2002. January 2002, SARK is Werner Sark, Roland Kohler, Stéphane Ghizzo. In the early March, SARK find Marc Joray as bass player, the band is now complete and ready to perform ...


Werner Sark, born the 3 of June 1971 in Biel / Switzerland, grew up in Vallamand / Switzerland. In his early years he was infected with the music virus. As teenager he started to play guitar, and created a band with some friends. With sixteen, he started a music school, and left it with nineteen. The band grew up, and had some important gigs in Switzerland. Height years after, the band died. Werner was 22 years old, and saw that the way of rock'n roll is not a easy way. He decided to start a computer engineering school, and was graduated in 1998. The music virus was back in September 2001, and much stronger as before.


Roland Kohler is born the 10 of September 1972, he grew up in the same region as Werner. Roland Kohler started to play music very young. He started to play drums with twelve. Roland played in the same band as Werner. After the end of the first band adventure, Roland decided to move to France, and to begin a education as professional musician as drummer in the Music Academy International school. He was graduated in 2000. Roland joined the SARK band in November 2001.


Stéphane Ghizzo, is born the 27 of March 1975. As Werner and Roland, Stéphane starts music in his early years. He started to play piano. Graduated from Promo-Musique (04.09.1991) He studies jazz-rock-blues since he was seventeen. He plays in a dozen of bands (blues-rock-funk-hard) as pianist and guitarist between 1992 and 1997. Pianist and guitarist from W.A.F.F. (Neuchâtel / Switzerland) from January 1997 to February 1998. Pianist of Onyx (Lausanne / Switzerland), from October 1997 till 1998 Bass player in Carpe Diem (Le Locle / Switzerland) from March 2000 till 2001. Bass player in Comin' up (Neuchâtel) since April 2001. Stéphane joined SARK in February 2002.


Marc Joray is born the 24 of May 1964 in La Chaux-de-Fonds/Switzerland. As a twelve years old kid, Marc started to play saxophone in a folks music band. With fifteen, he started to play bass guitar in a jazz-rock band. After a while, he moved to a progressive-rock band, and with eighteen he played in a blues-rock band for four years. As he realizes that music is a difficult way to go, he starts a engineering school in informatics. During this time he stopped music for a while. With thirty years, after being graduated, he started playing again in two different blues-rock bands. As Werner, the music virus infected Marc very stronger after the study time. The 8 th. Of March, Marc officially joined SARK as bass player.
