The project:
The idea of 'A stare into space' was primarily influenced by the loop-things of Shawn Lane and Brian Eno.(though it came out different)
I started the first tune on February (2007) and finished the last one on Semptember(2007)
What came out was a blend of Rock-, jazz-, world-music- and contemporary classical styles.
Guitars, synthesizers, tablas, and noises of every kind were used during the recording-process.
Anyone, who is some-kind-of-annoyed by 'ordinary' instrumental-guitar records (going floop-i-di-dly-floo-.....) or the ones who enjoy that stuff anyway,
will enjoy THIS CD
The dude behind the music:
I was born on September 4th 1989. During the first 10 years of my childhood i wasn't really interested in music ( i wanted to be in a boy-group when i was about 9 so that was a quite non-musical longing, if you know what i mean).
But when i was to go to secondary school, suddenly everyone seems to play an instrument. I decided to go with the classical-guitar then. Listening to hip-hop and chart-music i wasn't REALLY interested in music itself, but I liked to go to the lessons and learn playing guitar. With 13 i grew interested in Rock. Nirvana and Marilyn Manson were my choice of music, so i bought myself a Stratocaster-clone(what a conclusion, huh?).
Being 14 years old I decided, that it was time for changing the teacher.
An electric guitar teacher.
One to show me the secrets of 'how to rock the shit out of the pussies'. (He wasn't that successful as you can see; no pussies to rock the shit out with my music)
I Had (and still have) a great deal of fun with this teacher. As I grew more interested in instrumental music (Steve Vai for example) I joined the jazz/fusion-band of the music-school being 15 years old( get that; metal-head with longhair, metallica-sleeve and ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE OF HARMONY). Worked quite well, though. Through that jazz-thing I learned to 'accept' other music.
I started to listen to more easy-listening stuff as well as to contemporary classical stuff, world-music-stuff, all-kinds-of-fusion stuff.
Eventually I started composing when I was 16 years old. And finally , on february of 2007 , being 17-years old, i started the 'A stare into space'-thingy which is now to be released.
