Songs that matter... and James sings them proudly in his debut.

I play this cd when I feel like hearing a little hometown country. It's nothing that's never been done before, but the album has it's own beauty and that's worth more than twelve bottles of scotch... if you're on the bandwagon and need a little love this album's for you, not to mention James has a way of singing songs that bring the true spirit out.

This record is a very good listen. Its one of those records that is good when paid close attention too, and good to have on while making dinner. I have had a couple of songs stay in my head afterword. Recommended!!

mighty fine album

ok, maybe i'm a little old, but, after reading the last review, i didn't expect too much from this album. and all i can say is that you are wrong. this is a great musical experience. mayby some of the guitar riffs are a bit generic, but you have to listen to the words to really feel what the artist is feeling. certainly, this isn't anything outstanding, nor all that good, as far as the average listener could tell, but you have to get inside the songs, inside the experience to really understand the songs.
all in all this is a straight up rock album. so many artist have tried and failed, but this is the real deal. i don't know why it's so good but it is. but then again, thats what rock n roll is all about. breaking the rules, doing it for yourself. not caring what people think, from what i heard, this is what americana is all about. makin your own music for yourself and nobody else.
