Album Notes

Formerly known as the Great Lakes Quartet, the four singers that make up S•A•T•B have been singing together for sixteen years- Soprano, Julia Broxholm; Alto, Wendy Bloom; Tenor, Todd Graber; and Bass, Chris Grapentine. Their very first concert together, at the prestigious International Cayman Music Festival in 1991, cemented the group’s future. Since then, they have been in demand as soloists with a variety of orchestras and appeared on numerous recital series, residencies and festivals throughout the United States. Critics have praised S•A•T•B’s attention to musical detail, care with interpretation, and exceptional ensemble sound. In all this time there has never been a personnel change among the singers and in 1994, Russell Miller came on board as permanent musical director/pianist. Together, the five musicians perform a tremendous range of 19th-20th Century vocal chamber music as well as Broadway, vocal jazz, operatic and oratorio repertoire.
Please inquire for further recordings of Classical Chamber works with piano; orchestrated Gershwin arrangements and Xmas selections.
