Satchel's Pawn Shop play light and lively alt.country rock with retro undertones and the occasional nod to the "good ol' boy" in everyone. They've cleaned up their act some since their 2001 beer-soaked self-titled release, but there ain't nothin' here that says you shouldn't raise a glass before you get down. With some fancy pickin' and twangy harmonies, these guys engage in a go-round mix of the three singers and four songwriters that make up the band. Amidst all of this are some cover tunes including the Willie Dixon number "Three Hundred Pounds", Butch Hancock's "Bluebird" and "Stranded Outside Tater Knob" by Blaine Cartwright of Nine Pound Hammer and Nashville Pussy.
