ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This was SatKirin's first album. It was composed with Kinnar Kumar Sein, the son of famous Tabla Virtuoso, Lakshman Singh Sein.

We worked on this very dreamy collection of shabds in pre-dawn Raga in a very traditional way. Searching for all the master musicians from India, Afghanistan, Pakistan who might be passing through New York at any time we were recording. The before thought extinct Rabab was added when we found a wonderful Rabab player from Kabul.

Then synthesizer, Bass and piano were mixed in to add the fusion mix that brings these mantras to a fine blend for our cross cultural listeners.

The Ragas (Indian musical scales) add the element of sound that penetrates deeply and gives a very special experience of joy.
