Album Notes

"This World deserves global attention!"
-Laura Turner Lynch for Kweevak.com

Jennifer Savage's debut album, This World, evokes smoke-filled scenes with dimmed lights, sticky floors and the smell of alcohol on a neighbor's breath amid a multitude of hip-swaying rockers." (Jennifer Lloyd, University of Washington - The Daily ). Savage's album, This World, is full of emotions, intense, and overflows with a dynamic blend of guitars, bass, and drums, highlighted with a taste of sax, keyboards, and a surprise flute solo.

"This is pop ratcheted up a couple of notches, with its roots in rock and loaded with intense emotion. Savage unabashedly reveals herself - her personality and her take on life - in the lyrics that she writes and her performances on stage." (Maggie Larrick, Queen Anne/Magnolia News )

"Jennifer Savage puts on an energetic, commanding performance. Don't be fooled by her exposed midriff and long blond hair, she is no teeny-popper pop princess with a mic. This chick rocks....(this is) high energy, audience friendly music that would rival any band. The lyrical content of (her) originals have quite a bit of substance and seem pretty personal compared to the ever-so-common baby, baby over produced pop-rock norm of current main stream. (Her) style would be called rock, but it definitely has a radio-friendly pop foundation. That's not to say that it lacks intensity."

The music is performed by a collection of powerful musicians including; Zak Melang of The Super Sonic Soul Pimps, and The Black Vinyl All-Stars, Mike Stone of Crack Sabbath, Glenn Cannon of Windowpane, and Adam Stackpole of Point 1. As well as stellar performances by Dylan Fant, and Savage's now permanent band members: Jeremiah Schultz(Crane) and Mike Williams. Live, and in the studio, Savage and her band perform with an energy and honesty that is both captivating and personal.

Savage and her bandmates have released a new cd under the name "SixFootSavage" Check out www.sixfootsavage.com for more details and show information.

Jennifer Savage's self-produced debut, "This World", evokes smoke-filled scenes with dimmed lights, sticky floors and the smell of alcohol on a neighbor's breath amid a multitude of hip-swaying rockers...the title track, "This World" is a guitar-heavy, fast-talking refrain. It strikes the eardrum like a cup of black coffee striking the tongue of a customer expecting cream and sugar.

Powerful !
author: Laura T Lynch
This World is the first solo release from singer/songwriter Jennifer Savage. Jennifer is supported by talented musicians that add sultry bass lines, sexy sax and riveting guitars to her rock blues style. Savage subtly uses the flute to accent her songs. Jennifer's lyrics are philosophical provocative stories about relationships and life. Jennifer is a powerful versatile vocalist. She sings with passion and raw emotions. Her songs are an intense mix of heavy guitars, funky bass lines and powerful percussions. This twelve-track self-produced collection is diverse and energizing. I had a hard time picking favorites, as I liked every song on this CD. 'This World' incorporates wild instrumentation with smoking guitars and dynamic vocals. 'Yes Please' starts off slow and reflective than moves into a compelling chorus and back to a sexy groove complete with a smooth sax solo. '1,000 Miles' is another forceful track with a thunderous beat, smoldering fast guitars and thrilling vocals.
