Album Notes

This is the official band sanctioned CD issue of this classic bay area acid rock LP. Originally released on the Mercury label in 1968, the CD gives you the 10 original album tracks produced by legendary producer Abe 'Voco' Kesh plus 3 previously unreleased rehearsal recordings including a cover of "river deep mountain high"

Richmond, CA's own Savage Resurrection featured Randy Hammon (whose cousin Paul Whaley was in Blue Cheer & Oxford Circle), John Palmer (previously of The Plague, The Blue Boys & others) & band giving you demented dual lead guitars, feedback, wah wah, r&b/ acid rock influenced by Hendrix, Cream et al...

Also featured are extensive & informative liner notes by Alec Palao, who included a Savage Resurrection track on his Grammy nominated LOVE IS THE SONG WE SING: SAN FRANCISCO NUGGETS 1965-1970 box set, a forward by Nick Saloman (Bevis Frond/ psychic circle), beautifully restored original artwork, never before seen pics & more.

The Savage Resurrection CD was originally issued by Mod Lang in '99 but sold out quickly. It has been out of print & in demand for a few years & annoyingly been bootlegged as a more expensive import, but this is the official Mod Lang label, band sanctioned reissue finally repressed & back in stock as of April 2008!
