ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Thunderous reverb and intense tremolo picking only scratch the surface of what this Baton Rouge, Louisiana quartet is about. With a background in punk and metal music the group began applying that same energy to the instrumental style of 50s instrumental rock n roll. Often described as breakneck surf-a-billy the band provides an aggressive version of surf rock that is also strongly rooted in thrash, jazz, rockabilly, space rock, and just a little bit of noise. The group originally joined together in the fall of 2004 under the name Shark Attack!, later changing the name to Spring Break Shark Attack! Now after more than 2 years of dominating the Louisiana scene, completely selling out of their debut EP, regular radio airplay, Spring Break Shark Attack! has finally released its new full length, Sharkronomicon.

Missing lyrics...WHAT!?!?
The thing that makes surf music so great is that there are no lyrics! This CD is perfect the way it is! The only downside is that it ends too soon. This is surf music with an edge. Just what the genre needs, something new and creative. So if you've ever wanted to surf down the river Styx, or you're just tired of the crap that's on the radio, buy this CD now!!!

Fantastic!
These four guys can play it mean! This heavy surf-metal isn't written for any lyrics. Great CD!

(P.S. - 'Shark Tonic' is what I envision when a shark glides through the water and clamps down on a poor victim.)

Just missing some lyrics...
This is really a good record, the sound bites your ass like the great white would have done, sometimes the fast played parts sound like old-metallica (cliff burton - rip) to me. but i need some fuckin lyrics !!! a real good surfer-albumif you don't miss vocals you are absolutely right with this.

Surf Shred At Its Best!
Who needs lyrics when you'd rather shred than be dead! Surf-Rock is what got me into rock n roll when I was seven years old. Blood Ocean is a beautiful masterpiece in spite of the spacey ending. Dick Dale would be proud of these guys!

great mix of new and old
This album is fantastic. If you like surf music, or if you like devil's music, it's for you. Some songs sound like traditionnal surf but there is some very trashy moments with clean guitars making devilish harmonies. Think of Hank Marvin or Dick Dale on acid, or avenged sevenfold kind of mood, but with a good taste. Buy it,its a lot of pleasure for these 10 small bucks. The top of the album and the name of the band describe the music perfectly.
