Album Notes

Sarah Burnell (Celtic Violin & Voice)

Sarah is quickly making a name for herself on the Canadian folk music scene. Her début CD “Sarah’ndipity” was critically acclaimed and was an instant hit with folk music audiences. Her high-energy performances at summer festivals, concert halls, folk clubs, and pubs have engaged audiences across Canada and in the UK. In 2006, she was honoured to receive the “Young Performer of the Year” award from the Canadian Folk Music Association. Sarah’s other musical life focuses on the classical music field, particularly Baroque music. She is studying Music and Education concurrently at McGill University, and performs with their distinguished Baroque Orchestra. Sarah’s beautiful soprano voice is perfectly suited for the Celtic repertoire. She also sings with the fabulous chamber choir from Montreal, “La Ceilagh”. www.sarahfiddle.ca
