SCAMBOOTY is the hilariously entertaining acoustic trio whose music has been delighting audiences everywhere with bright vocal harmonies and biting socio-political commentary.
No subject is too sacred for the delicate sensibilities of Scambooty; self-actualization, frivolous lawsuits, masturbation, and the adventures in the Oval Office are only a few of the topics celebrated by Scambooty.
Scambooty was born three years ago at a recording session in Los Angeles.
While singing together, Steve Coon, Kathy Coon and Mandi Stanley discovered that their voices and irreverent senses of humor blended so well, they couldn't resist the idea of starting a comedy music trio.
So they did, that night! They've been writing and performing together ever since.
Their debut CD is entitled "Please.....No Dancing!".

Please... No Dancing, Scambooty's satirical treats for the ears
author: Greg T.
I love this CD! Scambooty can find the humor in any situation, or element of pop culture, and do it all in perfect harmony.
Please... No Dancing makes topics like Danielle Steel, and Heaven's Gate into satirical treats for the ears.

Incredible harmonizing, sharp wit and satire, great musicianship...what more cou
author: Gary Crew
Steve, Mandi, and Kathy produce incredible harmony singing in the services of very sharp original songs ranging from pointed political/sociological observations to sex to offbeat novelties (Swedish rap? L.A. freeway cowboys?) and, inevitably, back to sex again. Musically, Please…No Dancing is as eclectic as it could possibly be, but the trio can do it all—from pop and folk to Polynesian to western to faux madrigal to hillbilly to rap to parody gospel, they carry it off with panache. Scambooty’s harmony singing is flawless, all three voices are great, and the arrangements are clever and complex but always wonderful to hear. The test of musical humor is always whether it stands up to repeated listening; Scambooty’s musicianship ensures that Please…No Dancing meets this test in spades. I’ve had the CD for about a year, and I go back over and over again for more laughs and enjoyment.
“Heaven’s Gate: A Loving Tribute,” which tells the whole nutty tale to the tune of the old gospel tune “Children of the Lord,” is absolutely insidious; it’s funny and sharp and so damnably catchy that I find myself singing it at the most inappropriate times (and receiving some very strange glances…). Even that’s less embarrassing that finding myself unconsciously singing the lyrics to “Mr. Happy,” an ode to a particular part of a man’s anatomy, or the utterly nutty chorus to “Can’t Have It All”, and then looking around furtively to see if anyone can hear me…
Good taste is somewhat irrelevant here, and I wouldn’t give this somewhat risqué CD to my grandmother; but I’d certainly recommend it to anyone who’s relatively open-minded, is musical, and has a sense of humor…

It's just really funny!
author: Toby Atkinson
It's just really funny, the singing is great, and the music and timing complement the crazy lyrics perfectly. I can't believe how creative these people must be to choose such subjects!
