ScapeLand Wish is a three-piece powerhouse trio from the state of Connecticut, USA. Comprised of Joshua Ramirez (Lead Vocals, Percussion), Mike Stiskal (Bass, Keyboards, and Backing Vocals), and Kevin Forsberg (Guitars), this clever band has created some of the most inventive rock music since bands such as Yes, Rush, Emerson, Lake, and Palmer, to name a few, were in their prime. ScapeLand Wish have successfully combined the Progressive Rock eloquence with the Adult-Oriented Rock format to create music that has been hailed as "Brilliant" and "Superb" by their musical peers.
"The Ghost of Autumn" Their second album is the culmination of the writing, recording and performing of the last two years. It's a song oriented CD, meaning the song arrangements are more important than any individual instrument or part. This creates an album that appeals to the progressive rock fan as well as the more pop influenced fan. If you like 70's near progressive bands such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Styx, Ambrosia, Queen ect. this CD is right up your alley. There are many layers of guitars and keyboards that create a bed for lush vocals with soaring harmonies that at times can be choir-like. Guitar fans will like the multitude of guitar solos, some searing some melodic, but the main strength of this CD is the memorable melodic vocals
and themes. A great CD to drive to or listen to loud with the lights out.
Features:
Mike Stiskal ~ Bass, Keyboards, Synths, Vocals

A good album
author: sziti
This is a very enjoyable music with strong vocals when I'm working at home. Some parts reminds me of Marillion, latter-day Rush or Galleon from Sweden. Nice meeting of neo-prog & west-coast.

Reminds me of the best of Yes, Rush! I loved practically every song on this album. It took me on a journey. On their website they sell another album, is it for sale at CDBaby too?
