Album Notes

The Scared Stiffs are New York's newest drop dead punk & roll band! Fresh out of an upstate boneyard, the Stiffs have been crypt-kickin' ass everywhere they've played, leaving trails of sweat-drenched grinning victims in their wake. No one's been spared!

Pulling from the New York Dolls to Johnny Cash, The Scared Stiffs lash out with their own brand of flaming garage punk, belting out future classics about ghouls, girls, creatures and cars. Throw in B-movies, booze, tattoos, Betty Page and gutter guitars and you begin to get the picture.

So if you got a taste for ghouls, gore and guitars... The Scared Stiffs want you on the menu! Here's what the critics say...

"When Monsters Fall In Love is the equivalent of riding in a hot rod hearse filled with dead bodies! Classic rock riffs coupled with fun lyrics drill the song into your head...  The guitar riffs of Haunted give the song the feel of the late '60's Rockabilly...  The lyrics are damned fun too...   'Autopsy Turvy' is my new favorite make-out disc!.. This disc is guaranteed to please all ghouls, monsters, morticians and necrophiliacs!"
- Black Angel Reviews

"Spooky stuff...  Monster moshin' ghoul rock for the boneyard or your favorite late night haunt. Check 'em out! "  - Starr Trucker/ New York Waste

"An effort that takes influence from Alice Cooper, The Ramones, and various other 70's punk bands while blending in all sorts of morbid lyrics..  The best moments here are the Ramones sounding track My Mother The Carnivore and Satellite which has an undeniable groove to it.. musicians who capture their sub-genre well!"  - The Video Graveyard

"Laid out some place between the legendary Forbidden Dimension and the Groovy Ghoulies is The Scared Stiffs.....These crypt kickers rock in a straight forward manner... cool and catchy... When Monsters Fall In Love has a cool opening riff and smacks of New York City rock and roll circa the 70's. Also included is a very cool, high quality video for the track Zombified. Really fun and well done. Rob Zombie would be jealous!"

"Think Alice Cooper, Chuck Berry, a bit of the Ramones and you have the Scared Stiffs...  at times they have a real shuffle sound like the ole' rockabilly rock N' roll stuff and other times the board on Blues rock sound, this is good stuff. With lines like "You don't need a lover, you need an exorcist" how in the hell can you go wrong....  these guys have all the chops needed to get a crowd swaying back and fourth at a live show. The album contains 15 tracks and all of them are a good time! It's easy to see these guys have a great sense of humor as well as musically ability. Poptown Records are the champions who have decided to release this album...This is worth picking up and sinking your fangs into! I think fans of the Ramones, Cramps, Deadbolt and Alice Cooper are gonna really dig these guys...   - World Horror Network
