Born in Baltimore, Maryland and raised in a suburb of Syracuse, New York, twin sisters Kayleigh and Kaleena Goldsworthy write some of the most lyrically compelling and hauntingly melodic songs in today’s acoustic/rock/indie scene.
Defying genre labeling, The Scarlet Ending write songs from the heart, and perform their music with the hardcore passion of youth. Their songs evoke emotion, and coupled with intricate, intertwining harmonies, they have an uncanny ability to capture and hold the attention of all eyes, ears, and hearts.
Once described as “Indigo Girls meet Green Day”, this seemingly disjointed comparison speaks aptly of the appeal of TSE. Their songs have the presence and innocent maturity to speak to all, as their diverse following attests; their performances are as comfortable and well received at college campuses, coffeehouses, bars, and festivals.
Joining the girls on percussion/drums is veteran musician Andy Walton (Creepjoint, The Wallmen). This addition adds yet another edge to their live performance.
It would take more than a “label” to accurately describe what The Scarlet Ending bring to every word of every line of every song. It’s a craft that they embrace and nurture. It’s a gift that they share with everyone.
