Album Notes

These hymns are, for many of us, a kind of musical comfort food. I've often found myself playing them for funerals or during the passing of communion, and becoming entranced as I play them. I love their tunefulness, their simplicity yet dignity. So many people have been touched by my impromptu arrangements that I was urged to record them.

This recording was created in the hopes of the listener being able to take time out to reach out to the Divine simply and quietly. There are many people who feel alone, estranged, in need of healing, or simply want to talk to their God in a peaceful and safe atmosphere; and it is my hope that this recording brings some respite and healing to a hurting world.
