Marine Corps veteran of World War II,Thomas P. Anderson's
tender side was revealed in the many love songs he composed before his death in 1951. While reading her father's love poems and lyrics, Scheryll was deeply moved and connected to her past. It was her father's "dream" and it is now her "quest," to share with the world his romantic prose, and showcase his lyrical genius.

Love Ballad is right! Songs of my Father are soft and subtle melodies coupled with moving lyrics. My favorite track is the "When You're not Around." Its lyrics and melody really evokes the melancholy sense of losing someone and the heartache that comes with it.
