Album Notes

Ernesto Schnack is a composer/guitarist from Panama City, Panama who has just finished his first CD, 'wood.' With 'wood,' Ernesto takes on a new spin on acoustic fingerstyle music by using loops, samples, and effects to create whole arrangements: drums, bass, ambient textures, fuzzed-out guitar solos; it's all there, and it all originated from an acoustic guitar, giving the album a very unique sound. That's not to say there isn't room for tradition. Half of the songs are more straightforward solo pieces, balancing out the album.
