Album Notes

Heartfelt honesty, soulful rhythms and Clark's snarling blues guitar licks converge in this important musical event that speaks from the soul to the soul . The album explores such themes as the myth of scarcity, shedding mistaken beliefs that make us miserable, finding the courage to step out of the box, finding a reason to thrive, getting familiar with Nature's way, to name a few. The songs "work." They make you think and seem to awaken something dormant.

Here is the rundown on the song collection.

Find Your Name: "No longer a clone in the crowd..." Many social pressures shut down the soul and compromise our individual identity. The song encourages a confident response.

Change The Subject: Whoever controls the talking points controls your world…unless you change the subject!

Musical Chairs: About the myth of scarcity. We are taught from childhood that there is not enough to go around. The constant barrage of news instills the idea of scarcity. The idea causes the expectation. The expectation creates the experience. But you don’t have to play…

Coming Home: Stepping out takes courage but the reward is invaluable.

Lost and Found: Is it possible to go back in time? Yes!

Reverie: A love song,. Vocals by Jillian Clark, Kyle Gholson and Heather Gholson.

These Are My Sympathies: The cruelest jokes played on us are the religious ones. This song could stir up some controversy. But so did a man from Galilee.

Tapping In: When we operate in an atmosphere of scarcity we wind up hording, fighting, destroying, consuming, and wasting. Something amazing happens when we tap into the abundance of the creator.

You May Not Have Noticed: You have a guardian angel… but you need to pay attention.

Thrive: Carpe Diem!

Hearthsong: Feel the life within the verses. Free your spirit from the curses. Near at hand your treasure finding. Soul to soul forever binding.

It has been quite a while since this number of thought rocking songs have been captured on one album. Am I living in the good ole days of 70s quality music. "Coming Home" is an anthem--"Thrive" is a shout out--"Musical Chairs" is political satire--"Sympathies" is introspective--"Find Your Name" is directional--etc " I thought I heard the Doobies in Lost & Found" When does the tour start? Where do we get our tickets?

This is one of the best albums I've listened to in a long time. Sam Clark is a master guitarist so the music is the finest anywhere. But the lyrics make it an even richer experience. Many artists have music that sounds good but with hollow or shallow or sick lyrics. But if you listen to Sam's music, it will put you in a hopeful mood real quick. You've gotta listen to this!
