Album Notes

This CD is the culmination of a musical partnership that started as a rivalry in the 1980's.Jim's band Short Stuff was the reigning blues band in southeast Wisconsin in those days. Steve's band Leroy Airmaster was aspiring to that role, and indeed, when Short Stuff broke up, Leroy took over.
Steve and Jim buried their differences in the early 1990's(both bands were defunct by then)and started working smaller venues together as a duo It is a unique collaboration .Nowhere before have 2 world class blues harmonica players offered such a workout. Almost half of these songs involve nothing but 2 harmonica and vocals. The remainder feature Steve playing guitar and singing .Jim plays guitar on one song, and sings one as well. There is deep blues feeling here, as well as stellar musicianship, presented honestly(no overdubs) and without pretense. Some great musical moments.
