"Alan's attractive songs are filled with interesting ideas and often soaring emotions; in song after song, the composer/lyricist develops self-contained personal dramas ... As on his debut album, Mr. Alan is well represented by his friends ... All of whom help to make "Keys" a worthy successor to "Dreaming Wide Awake," and one which serves to further enhance the notion that Mr. Alan is someone to keep our eyes, and ears, on."

...outstanding album from an outstanding composer and highly talented musicians. This music is not just good, it has heart and meaning and it is a privilege to listen to (and sing...thank you, Mr. Alan, for publishing your sheet music). As always, looking forward to the next one.

Love at first listen?
author: Morgan Allen
I originally bought this cd because it is the only cd, as of now, that Natalie Weiss is on. I saw that Sutton Foster (my other love) was on there so I HAD to get it! LOVE IT! Every song is wonderfully written and the melodies are gorgeous! "Distance You Have Come" is truly inspirational and I spread it to anyone who will listen. Couldn't see this cd getting anything LESS than 5 stars! :D LOVE IT!

I bought this for my daughter and her review is as follows: Scott Alan has once again put together a great compilation of songs which are sung by great artists. His lyrics are touching, and there is a song for every occasion. If you liked Dreaming Wide Awake, you'll love this cd. And if you don't have Dreaming Wide Awake, you should get that one too!
