...deep, smooth, soothing rock rhythms. This CD is a great listen...
author: UWO Gazette
Canadian singer-songwriter Scott Beckman’s debut CD Somebody Else mixes soft rock with heartfelt lyrics. The Stratford, Ont. native’s album sounds as if the words were ripped out of a personal journal or diary.
Somebody Else offers listeners words about wanting, waiting and being in love. Piano driven melodies are strong on this record, which also features upbeat pop-rock.
Tracks such as “Who Am I?” start off slowly and pick up with powerful beats and great vocals, giving the listener a look inside a person who is lost, confused, and in need of direction.
The title track is a slower piano ballad about transforming into someone else to get another person’s attention.
Beckman’s music is deep in the sense that it deals with personal issues through smooth, soothing rock rhythms. This CD is a great listen if you had a bad day, a breakup, or are feeling lonely.

Scott has released a unique project here - and I'm anxious to hear more from him in the future!
