Scott F. Hall's "sound sculpture" is picturesque and listenable. On his third CD, Hall focuses half on growling, harmonious, and thickly layered bass and drum trances and half on sampled sound pieces captured in Florida and Holland.

Scott F. Hall has experimented with sound as an art form for exhibition (sonic art) since 1985. Initially, he worked with low-tech and analog processes. Today, Hall utilizes entirely digital multitrack recording technology in production, but the enigmatic and normally brief "sound sculpture" he creates remains as heavily layered, as diverse in aural and musical reference, and as rich in tone, timbre, and texture as ever.
On his third CD, Hall focuses half on growling, harmonious, and thickly layered bass and drum trances and half on sampled sound pieces captured both in Florida and in Amsterdam, Holland. In addition to bass, drums, and a plethora of environmental noises, this eclectic and fascinating CD includes many unusual instruments such as didgeridoo, teufelsgeige, and falset bass horn.

17 Different Musical Worlds!
author: Dermaptera
A great work of imaginative pieces that each evoke a complete world within themselves. Some are dark and menacing, and some are soft and expansive. My personal favorite is track 15, Beatgrinder. This is a long work, and I love the thrumming groove bass, and the compelling circular rhythm of the piece. I'd recommend you get your copy right away!
