On this CD, Hall presents 14 pieces with a total duration of 40 minutes. The artist's work here is composed almost entirely of precisely layered electric bass guitar tracks. Each piece is an exploration of intricate rhythms and expressive harmonies created intuitively through a repetitious, additive technique that is ultimately rooted in the ancient musical forms known as canon and round. Hall’s work in “Scultura Sana 4” [Sound Sculpture 4] is delicate, technically meticulous, emotionally rich, and remarkably diverse in tone despite the homogenous use of a single electric bass guitar throughout.
