Scott Fickas has been singing and writing songs since the mid - late nineties. Once the creative leading force behind (the now defunct) Silvereign. They played festivals and blazed the club circuit in So. Cal. for the better part of four years. After two CDs, Seven Windows in 1998, and Element of Chance in 2000, Silvereign disbanded in 2001. Now Scott has struck out on his own as a solo artist. Although he has many influences, it’s the sounds of the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens, U2, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, Neil Young, Queen, and Bob Marley that really inspired him. Songs about experiences in love, relationships, honesty, the pursuit of happiness, and simple truths can be heard on his latest work "Reflections". With producer Kenn Michael (Wylde Bunch) at the helm this time around, a frsh new rock sound has emerged that makes this one worth a listen. When we asked Scott about the songs, he replied. “Reflections for the most part is about looking back at the place we’ve come from. The roots of our beginnings and how it shapes the person we are today.”

Reflections Is Not Just The Usual Love Songs
author: Blackhawke Media
I really like this recent effort it shows real growth as a solo artist from his previous work. The lyrics here have more substance and depth, Scotts voice has also matured as well where in previous albums there was much more reaching. In Reflections with songs like Hiding in Plain Sight and Still For Living, the artist shows off his vocal mastery and ability to push the heart of a melody. Great work!!! I can't wait for the next effort. Maybe consider a pinch more harmony, a nice female background for spice, a dash of piano for the softer passages and a touch of soul to give it that passion play and then sit back and ride. Recommended playlist. Still For Living, Hiding in Plain Sight, Not Today.
