A Songwriter's Notebook
author: Tom McCarthy
I have been a long-time fan of Jimmy Scott's songs, and I am particularly pleased to see his new CD released. He has written songs on "A Songwriter's Notebook" that brought out some strong emotions in me. Jimmy has captured the feelings that loss and love lead us through as we progress to the other side. I must admit "Dancing in Heaven" brought out the tears, but Jimmy also includes some upbeat songs like "My Rock 'n' Roll Dream" that bring a smile to your face as you remember the legendary Rock 'n' Rollers.
Jimmy Scott's latest work shows the maturity and growth one must go through during our lives. It's great to have him back.
